Personal Description:
I am a graduate flautist and woodwind doubler from the Royal Academy of Music who is training for a portfolio career in flute performance. I have solo, concerti and orchestral experience and a repertoire ranging across various genres of music. As well as classical flute, I work as a woodwind doubler for musical theatre productions.
Tutoring Experience:
I have previously taught one-to-one lessons ranging from children to adults and have participated in various outreach projects.
Tutoring Approach:
As well as covering technical aspects of flute playing. I also try to introduce my students to listening and appreciating classical music by giving listening recommendations that fit with the pieces they are practicing. I have also adopted teaching methods that I have learnt from leading professional flautists.
