Over 30 years experience teaching the clarinet in schools,universities and privately.
Professional Orchestral Musician performing with English Symphony Orchestra and C.B.S.O… Experienced orchestral coach.

Tutoring Experience:
Experienced teacher both privately as well as schools and universities. I enjoy teaching children from primary school age and all age groups up to and including retired people. I also prepare students for the ABRSM theory exams.
Tutoring Approach:
One to one teaching in private house. My teaching is based on the "classical " repertoire and I encourage all my students to play in orchestras and ensembles. If appropriate I enter my students for exams through the ABRSM . I play the piano with my pupils at all lessons and play clarinet duets with them.

From Derek (/5): Sharon provides constructive suggestions for improvement in the lessons, and I always come away with specific actions to focus on that strike a good balance between being achievable but stretching. Her approach is very structured and she is great at writing out practice notes and key points that were highlighted in the lesson.

From Craig (/5): Sharon is an excellent teacher. She really knows her stuff about clarinet playing and I find her challenging me to be better over the lesson. She plays piano, too which is incredibly helpful when preparing for grades. I highly recommend!

Contacted us very quickly and has been brilliant helping us sort an instrument and the required bits. Would not hesitate to recommend and will hopefully be teaching my little boy the Clarinet long term!

From Amanda (/5): I can highly recommend Sharon . She teaches my 8 year old daughter and has been fantastic with her. She praises and encourages her. My daughter has leant so much in just three lessons and really enjoys her time with Sharon. I would definitely recommend Sharon to other students.
