Personal Description:
Music has been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I’m passionate about helping others achieve their musical goals—whether that's learning a new skill, building confidence, or pursuing professional qualifications. I believe music should be accessible, enjoyable, and inspiring for everyone.
Tutoring Experience:
I bring over 20 years of teaching experience as a peripatetic music teacher within the LEA music service, alongside my work as a private tutor. I have taught students of all ages and levels, both in school settings and privately, tailoring lessons to each individual’s needs and aspirations.
Tutoring Approach:
Anyone can learn an instrument so I will teach all ages. I am classically trained but can adapt to other styles. I encourage students to take exams and mainly use the ABRSM syllabus. I also put on workshops to encourage ensemble playing between my students.
