Personal Description:
I am a private tutor and musician, I have been teaching for over 25 years and playing from the age of 7.
I learned classical piano, music theory and singing in Conservatoire de Perpignan.
As an adult I learned to play the drums, kit and hand drums, but mostly I learned music production and I have been a dance DJ in clubs and on the radio. Although I am classically trained I enjoy the use of digital tools to create music.
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught very early on in my career, in the Académie Jean-Sébastien Bach in Perpignan at first under the supervision of my Teacher Mr Durand, and privately to support my University studies at the time in France. I loved teaching so much I didn't stop. I moved to Wales and continued teaching privately until today.
Tutoring Approach:
Every lesson is different because of course every student is different and may have different goals.
Young students have half hour lessons (£20) and are encouraged to learn through games and creativity.
As they progress and grow they can have 45 minute lessons (£30). Older students and adults can have hour long lessons (£36)
Classical training is rigorous so the students need to display commitment and effort if they want to get their grades with ABRSM but it is introduced to them gradually if required.
I like to help them develop their technical skills but also a sensitive and intuitive approach to performing, creating and producing music they love.
When supporting young students as they grow I find it is essential to encourage them to chose which area of music they prefer and when they have sufficient musical knowledge and skill in the subjects they originally chose if they want to develop new skills I support their transition, e.g. from classical piano to composition, music production, song writing or audio engineering…

It was a pleasure meeting you both and hopefully see you soon
Tutor was able to introduce him to Music technology and back this up with related theory.
At the moment, Seb has basic knowledge of musical notes and guitar notes so Sarah may be able to build upon this existing knowledge.
Sarah is incredibly versatile - feedback is such following our initial lesson.
Sarah is friendly, professional, reliable and thorough.
