Personal Description:

I am a professional pianist and composer/song writer based in northwest London. I am classically trained as a pianist but play a wide range of different styles from rnb soul blues Latin and also Asian music. I perform both as a solo artist and also with my band as well as collaboration with other fellow artists from different musical backgrounds. I have been active in the music industry for over 18 years and majored in music obtaining a BA hons music degree at Middlesex university in 2007. I also have all my 8 grades in piano under ABRSM as well as grade 5 music theory.

Tutoring Experience:

I have over 20 years experience as a piano teacher and have also trained larger ensembles and various groups of musicians for stage performance. I teach in accordance to the ABRSM syllabus from beginner right up to advanced level covering exam preparation for all grades including and upto grade 8 piano and upto grade 5 music theory. I also teach composition and harmony as well as aural training. For those who wish to learn piano as a hobby those needs and requirements can also happy be catered for.

Tutoring Approach:

I think music tuition has to be enjoyable and interesting for the student for them to get the most out of it. I would ensure learning is engaging and insightful to give students the incentive to practise and achieve adequate progress. It is also important to have a good practise routine to cultivate musical skills and refine technique and fluency. It is also important to help students select pieces they enjoy to add further motivation and desire to learn.
