Personal Description:
I am a highly experienced pianist and teacher. My enthusiasm and love of piano is as strong as ever. I studied for five years at the Royal Academy of Music in London where I was awarded six prizes for piano. My musical interests are broad. Besides the classics I have a love of jazz and popular music. To play the piano well needs a solid basis in technique whatever style you want to play. But it is also important that piano should be a pleasure. I am easy going and enjoy teaching all ages and levels.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching piano all my adult life and never cease to enjoy sharing my experience abd meeting new people of all ages.
Tutoring Approach:
Learning should always be enjoyable, even when presented with difficulties! Some technical work must be done to build technique and strength. The weaker fingers need help. I believe in creating a good personal rapport with each student. Each lesson should show progress as well as bringing mutual pleasure.
