Information About Rosanne - Chislehurst teacher

Personal Description:

Hey I'm Rosie, and I'm a professional trumpet player living in Mottingham, SE London!

In 2013 I graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with a Masters in Performance, and have since gone on to have a very varied career! Most recently I was fortunate to perform with The Who for the finale of their World Tour, as well as performing on TV for the relaunch of BBC3 and on Strictly Come Dancing 'It Takes Two'! I have performed in a number of West End shows (Heathers, Wicked, Little Shop of Horrors), have performed in professional orchestras, most recently in Dublin for National Symphony orchestra, as well as travelling the UK and overseas with many collectives in pop and funk for weddings, festivals, and parties!

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching for 13 years, mainly privately, but also within schools, and for local music trusts. I am able and happy to teach all abilities from beginner to advanced.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is to demystify and break down the many elements of music and performance. Once you have these categories (time keeping, rhythm, sound, sight-reading, style etc) you can then create goals in which to achieve them! With a little patience and effort, these elements will come together to create a more well-rounded musician. Making music can be one of the most rewarding feelings, so it's my job to help teach you the fundamentals of music performance, so that you feel more knowledgable and able to blossom!
