Personal Description:

I was originally trained as a classical pianist, but released 3 jazz albums putting my own twists on pop songs and I reached No. 1 in the UK and No. 33 Globally. As a vocalist I am trained by the highest level singing teachers including a soloist from Sydney Opera House, a former director of National Youth Choirs of Great Britain and a Nashville Pop Vocal Coach. I am an Academy Teacher for the Royal College of Organists, a former undergraduate teacher at the Royal Northern College of Music in Academic Studies (theory and analysis). I am published by Routledge with regards to aural training.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been a Director of Music at leading independent schools, Manager of Performing Arts at an international school, vocal coach at a Music Theatre stage school, delivered regular masterclasses for the Royal College of Organists, been a diploma examiner, teach Rock School vocals and much besides. I teach piano, organ, singing, improvisation, theory and aural to the very, very highest levels of examination - Fellowship Diplomas. I also prepare people for auditions whether they be classical, pop or for the West End.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is holistic. I train the whole person which includes all of your skills in an integrated fashion. I also assist with developing a positive mindset and managing any performance anxiety effectively. I train the whole person in all styles and work bespoke to your personality and needs.
