Personal Description:
Hi there! I'm a conductor and singer based in North London, who also teaches piano, cello, and music theory. I first started learning music at Junior Guildhall, before singing in the choir of New College, Oxford. I then went on to do a music degree at the University of Manchester, where I graduated with first class honours.
I now conduct several ensembles across the country, as well as solo singing and professional choral work.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching privately for 7 years, and have experience over a wide range of ages and abilities. I am the resident singing teacher of the St George's Singers, Poynton, and work regularly with the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain as a section leader and conductor.
Tutoring Approach:
My teaching approach is centred around incrementally increasing a student's technical abilities, whilst broadening and deepening their understanding and appreciation of music as a whole. I enjoy a sense of unpredictability and fun, and therefore tailor my lessons very much depending on the pupil's individual needs and desires.
