Personal Description:

I love the piano. For me, it is the greatest instrument in the world and I always try to get that across in my lessons. I'm an experienced piano teacher, performer and accompanist with a First Class Bachelor's degree in Music. I am a classically trained pianist, but I am open to all types of music.

Tutoring Experience:

I have built up a teaching practice in Devizes over the past 9 years. I have taught dozens of pupils from beginners all the way up to grade 8 and have a high rate of pupils achieving merit and distinction in ABRSM exams.

I teach in several schools within the Devizes area where I have prepared young children for grade exams or to progress for their own enjoyment.

I have experience teaching ABRSM theory up to grade 5.

I am experienced teaching teenagers, adult beginners and adults who have returned to the piano after many years.

Tutoring Approach:

In every lesson my pupils get the advice and support they need. This will be different for everyone and my lessons reflect this. If you want to get to grade 8, I will help you achieve that. But if you want to play songs from the movies for fun, I will help you to play them the best that you possibly can.

Whatever music you want to learn, I will work on technique, musicianship and musicality all the time at whatever speed is most suited to you.

I am analytical, patient and calm and will never give in until my pupil can understand what they need to do.
