Information About Robert - Leeds teacher

Personal Description:

Hello! I'm Rob. I'm a composer and musician.
Last year I finished my degree in film music composition at Leeds Conservatoire. I play piano, guitar and trumpet as well as composing music in a range of styles. I plan on going into both the music and film industry.
While I am focusing on teaching guitar/piano, I am happy to advise on any musical understanding such as music theory and composition. I teach from home and I'm happy to travel to you, depending on distance.

Tutoring Experience:

I have never officially taught anyone. However, I am hoping this provides a more informal approach to teaching.

Tutoring Approach:

I want to approach teaching guitar/piano in a relaxed, non-academic way. For those who struggle with learning music through notation and grades (though with piano, I encourage a degree of learning notation).
I will walk you through the first steps of the guitar/piano and set short-term goals for progression. I also welcome any players who know the basics and just want to learn some songs they love. Learning an instrument should be fun! There's nothing wrong with learning in an alternative way.

I myself learnt guitar by working out chords, learning songs and repeating.
