Personal Description:

As heard on the soundtrack of BBC1's 'Only Child' social comedy series. Thank you for selecting my details. I have been playing and teaching harmonica professionally for over thirty years and am a former UK harmonica champion. I produce an annual international harmonica festival, edit a well known website for harmonica learners and head up my own Academy with over 400 school students learning harmonica each week. I have played on stages worldwide alongside professional harmonica artists and I perform regularly with my own blues band in local venues and festivals nationally.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching harmonica to adult students since 1995 in my studio in Hove and online. I also run a weekly online workshop for adult learners. In 2010 I began teaching harmonica in Primary and Pre-Schools where i have coached a number junior harmonica champions. At school I provide whole class access to music learning, small group learning, and after-school harmonica clubs. I also teach 1:1, paired and whole-class harmonica for children online.

Tutoring Approach:

My lessons are student oriented, friendly, fun. My syllabuses and practical tips have been developed through many years of experience in the classroom and in workshops, working with players of every age and ability. I have a library of repertoire suitable for all levels and tastes, as well as exercises and music theory resources to enjoy. You will have access to an online music diary, music sheets and sound files, which you can access wherever and whenever you have Wi-Fi.
