Information About Rebecca - Colchester teacher

Personal Description:

I've been teaching piano and violin for 12 years and love teaching people of all ages and abilities - my youngest student is 5 and my oldest is 86. I am very flexible in my teaching and like to give each student what they need, and encourage them to learn pieces/songs that they really like, alongside the necessary material to help them progress.

Tutoring Experience:

I have a lot of experience with complete beginners and students transferring from another teacher. I have had several neurodivergent students and pride myself on being able to work with each student at their own level and needs. Students who wish to take exams are encouraged to do so and I use the Trinity College London syllabi, however exams are never compulsory.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to make sure that students are enjoying their lessons and feel confident that they can continue their practising outside of lessons. I work with students on building good technique and a wide repertoire. My goal is for students to nurture a lifelong passion for playing their instruments.
