Personal Description:

Hello!

I am an experienced performer and teacher, and graduate from Guildhall School of Music and Drama with a masters on Bassoon Performance. I have a passion for both teaching and playing the Bassoon and flute, and believe in creating a positive and exciting environment for students. I have 10+ years experience as a flute and Bassoon tutor across multiple schools in Sydney and London with students ranging from 4-16 years old!

I have also work as a freelance bassoonist in London, Germany and Australia with Orchestras such as the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House and Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

Tutoring Experience:

I have worked for 10+ years as a Flute and Bassoon teacher, teaching students between the age of 6-24. I have mainly worked 1:1 with students, however have had lots of experience with groups up to 40 students across many instruments. I have put many students through practical musical exams and highly encourage them if desired.

Tutoring Approach:

As I am currently a performer, teacher and student myself, I am very aware of the balance between hard work and having fun. I believe the best way to create a successful musical journey is through a positive and encouraging environment, where students can develop their skills and take risks without fear! I also take highly into account the individuality of students and their desires, so make sure to adjust my approach as suited.
