Personal Description:

Hello! I`m a teacher with a passion for creating an environment that allows my students to uncover their true voice through safe technique, confidence, freedom and musical expression. I`m also a professional vocalist working throughout Europe.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching for 13 years, with students of all levels of experience. I teach one-to-one from my studio at home, and also in group settings, running vocal workshops both for university undergrads and members of the general public. I also give lectures and performance workshops on the voice module for 2nd year degree students at Falmouth University`s Music Degree in Cornwall.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in creating a safe and nurturing environment in which you can discover your voice through song, breathing and vocal exercises and whole vocal and body awareness. I approach tutoring with a combination of technique and intuition, and lessons are tailored to individual students according to musical taste, and what exact kind of support is needed. This is because the vocal journey is a very personal one. Technique is at the heart of healthy singing, and yet this technique arises from a well-functioning physiological model, which comes back to intuitive, primal emotional feedback systems. We will develop your technique and confidence in singing and uncover skills and knowledge for all areas of music and sound-making: from jazz and pop to classical, folk, experimental, rock, improvisation and beyond!
