Personal Description:
I have been teaching for many years because I like to do it and because, as a musician, I can benefit myself from doing it.
My lessons are based on the pupil's goals; even though someone may not aim to be a professional, it is possible to train properly and still have a lot of fun.
I give my students what they need in order to find their own way throughout musical expression and by learning how to sense their own body during the musical practice, they will grow a unique connection with the instrument, along with a relaxed state of mind.
After a first trial lesson FREE OF CHARGE, I plan the study programme with the student according to previous experience and future goals.
Furthermore, for absolute beginners, I can offer my support in the process of choosing your first instrument in order to get a good value for money; and this is for free of course! Choosing an instrument for the first time can be very tricky!
I firmly believe in the teacher-student bond and connection that is why empathy stands on top of my teaching priorities.

I have always been attracted to sounds; I was a child of three or four when I first encountered a musical instrument. In a wardrobe of my house there was a classical guitar which I used to play in secret; It was abandoned since no one in the family has ever played music. The reason why that guitar was staying there is still a mystery. After so many years I enjoy the idea of that forgotten guitar as a sign of destiny.
I love the feeling I get when I play a simple melody and I love even more when I can have a conversation through the notes I am playing.
I started my musical career in 2000 and since then on I have played electric bass and double bass in many rock, pop, blues and jazz bands, performing at hundreds of live events in clubs, theatres, discos and festivals in Italy and the UK.
Projects that I have taken part in include a Jazz big bands, Gypsy Jazz ensembles, Jazz bands led by singers, a 1950s style show based on Swing music and Burlesque, an a cappella choir (two years as a baritone singer) and numerous informal collaborations.
From my live experience I have achieved practical skills behind the scenes. Managing bands, strategizing, dealing with bureaucracy, public relations and advertising, as well as the importance of building a professional image, are all skills I have developed further. All of the above are aspects that should be mastered and carried out, either on or off the stage by any musician.
Since my early days as a bassist, I have had a strong awareness of the “bigger picture”, in relation to acting professionally and promoting a band, or adopting an original and spontaneous approach to the musical experience.
While studying Jazz, I continued to focus on the “bigger picture” and soon I started to develop what I believe to be the most important skill for a musician: the ability to foresee what atmosphere and identity any piece of music should create so as to fulfill the initial intuition.
In the end, I believe this is the very core of the musical happening that keeps being continuously learnt and taught by students and teachers in an endless spiral of different musical experiences.
