Personal Description:
Piers is a 35 year old English pianist, composer and multi instrumentalist. He was classically trained at Salisbury Cathedral becoming head chorister in his final year. From 1999-2001 he was part of the group ‘Boys Air Choir’ in that time touring Japan and recording two albums at Abbey Road studios. He is also proficient at the cello but found his way into writing and composing through his love of the piano. In. 2022 he released his debut contemporary classical project ' ' with the debut album 'Beginnings' amassing 7 million streams to date (recorded at AIR Studios 1) and is currently putting the final touches on his sophomore album.
Tutoring Experience:
I've been teaching children and adults of all ages and levels for over 15 years with excellent results.
Tutoring Approach:
Teaching is all about the individual. I vary my methods to suit each pupil. Some work best visually while others prefer a more practical approach. I try and make learning as fun, interesting and diverse as possible whether preparing for exams, music scholarships or learning for fun.
Unfortunately there is no short cut to becoming a great pianist or musician. You have to build it slowly everyday, like the gym. It is steady process but ultimately extremely rewarding.
