Personal Description:

I take a great interest in Singing and performance and enjoy teaching others who are passionate about singing. I am highly motivated and teach students of any age at any level from Beginner to Advanced.
I teach in Godalming and do not travel to students.

I graduated from Goldmsiths, University of London, with a 1st Class BA Hons. in Drama and Theatre Arts.

I am the singer in a Jazz Trio **Removed By Admin** We have been performing regularly around Guildford, Surrey and London now since April 2010. We also perform for weddings, parties and events.

I started singing from a very young age. I have been in a number of bands since the age of 13. I was lucky enough to be in an original alternative rock band which regularly gigged in London and Surrey area. With this band we also were the support act for a top 5 selling UK band for their UK tour in 2005. I have been trained at Guildford School of Acting and have auditioned for Silvia Young.

Group lessons do not exceed 10 people per hour. Each individual will learn in a group situation, be able to learn harmonies and sing solo. Involving microphone work, accompanied singing and singing a capella (unaccompanied). Lessons run by term times and provides lessons for adults and children.

Each lesson is tailored to the individual.

Lessons are individually sited to the student taking them. Within these priva**Contact Detail Removed**ssons a range of genre's will be looked at but the student can choose to focus on one specific genre if they wish. Within the lessons you will learn:

Breathing Techniques: This enables you to learn how to breathe to get the full potential out of your voice.
Vocal Exercises: Ranging from diction stimulated work to range and tone techniques. The student will learn how to push their voice and use it to the best of its ability.
Physical Exercises: To improve whole body singing. Your voice is an instrument that you have to look after. Within this we work on building the diaphragm muscles and keeping your body loose whilst singing.
Singing: Every lesson we work through (at the pace of the student) a different number of songs, genres and ranges. This will be accompanied, accapella and harmonies.
*Microphone Work: *If the student wishes microphone work will be looked into. How to use a microphone and get the best out of it.
*Music Theory: I incoporate music theory within my lessons but please note it is NOT a music theory lesson.

Within the lessons the main objective it to have fun and learn.

Group lessons are very similar to individual lessons however, you will be working as a team. Harmony work will be the main focus, within this you will get to sing solo (if you wish) and as a group to develop your knowledge and musical ear. All the above is also covered.
