Personal Description:
I have been working as a professional musician for 13 years, and teaching for 10. I have experience as a session musician, theatre musician, composer and improviser. With thousands of gigs under my belt, I have a wealth of experience in the practical application of techniques and theory, but all centred around having fun.
Tutoring Experience:
I taught music at a college for 5 years. I taught level 1 to level 5 (up to degree level). I taught instrumental lessons, composition, sequencing, band workshops and music theory among other subjects. I have also been teaching privately for 10 years.
My profile says not willing to travel, but I have a few select slots on a Wednesday in Tunbridge Wells / Southborough.
Tutoring Approach:
I am very flexible with what you want to learn. If you just want to learn songs then that's fine, you will still learn techniques and theory through this practice, but we can also take exam grades like Rockschool and Trinity or focus on music theory, improvisation or whatever you want to do.
