Information About Paul - Basingstoke teacher

Personal Description:

I am a seasoned casual musician with lots of live music performance and recording experience. I have a relaxed approach that would suit those looking to develop their skills towards playing around camp fires as much as playing on stage.

I teach children, teenagers and adults. I hold a current DBS, am a skilled coach (holding a Masters from Oxford Brookes University), and hold qualifications in adult education and youth work.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching ukulele to children (aged 8yrs+), teenagers, and adults for 5 years

Tutoring Approach:

I take a relaxed approached, using the Rock School syllabus to enable progress, and grades if wanted. I also use my own teaching materials and encourage the playing of folk tunes for the purposes of skill development and enjoyment.

I teach a combination of chord strumming, finger picking, and tune playing to offer a rounded skill set that can either be developed to greater ukulele enjoyment, or to build transferable skills for other musical endeavors
