Personal Description:
Patrick is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and music producer. He gained first class undergraduate and master's degrees in Composition from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he also taught as a junior fellow. He has been teaching Guitar, Bass Guitar, Music Theory and Composition to a wide range of students for 7 years alongside his work as a musician. As well as a composition qualifications, Patrick has achieved grade 8 (Distinction) in Guitar and grade 7 (Distinction) in Piano. He has performed extensively as a professional solo classical guitarist and has been the recipient of awards in several nationwide competitions. Patrick has also played in award winning bands as an ensemble jazz and rock/pop guitarist and bass guitarist. His award winning compositions receive professional, public performances and he curates, writes for and performs in his own concert series and ensemble. His music productions enjoy regular releases on esteemed labels and have been played on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1Xtra, and at music festivals around the world.
Patrick’s wide-ranging experience and knowledge can take your musicianship to the next level from whatever your current stage and whatever your interests may be. He hopes to make his lessons educational, inspiring, and most of all, enjoyable.
Patrick has a studio in Churchill, North Somerset where he teaches but also teaches peripatetically around Bristol, where he lives.
Tutoring Experience:
Patrick has been teaching for 7 years alongside his work as a musician, teaching a wide range of students from complete beginner to degree level. He has taught and lectured at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he was a junior fellow.
