Tutoring Experience:
I have had lots of teaching experiences from full classes and choirs to small ensemble groups and individuals. I've conducted children's brass band and concert bands. I've had a lot of experience teaching children and Adults!
The students who have sat exam have a 100% success rate form initial grade to grade 8 of all ages.
Tutoring Approach:
I feel Music is a vital part of life whether that is playing or listening to it. It helps the brain in so many different ways. I feel I benefited massively growing up playing music as it helped with confidence and got my brain working everyday. I aim to make a friendly environment in my lessons where my students are not afraid to make a mistake, as playing the wrong note or making a mistake is a vital part of learning and improving. The biggest challenged I faced growing up was being a perfectionist and kicking myself when I made a mistake. I believe learning and making mistakes is so important in music because it is the only way to improve. I aim to make all my student feel safe and to make them feel they have learnt something new every lesson and over time see vast improvements in their ability and skills on their chosen instrument.

On a serious note, I feel he learned more so far (8 lessons) than in two terms of group classes at school. He even enjoys the music theory bit.
