Personal Description:
Hi! My name is Nick, I am a South London based saxophonist, pianist and composer, specialising in improvisation.
I recently graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with an LRAM teaching diploma and a first class honours in jazz saxophone.I am a gigging professional and have been playing at corporate events and weddings for many years, as well as performing in big bands and jazz ensembles at venues such as Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club and The Barbican.
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught privately for many years, tailoring lessons to the individual across all genres and interests!
I am currently working within the widening participation outreach programme at The Royal Academy of Music, running workshops and leading ensembles with kids aged 11-18.
Tutoring Approach:
A holistic approach to teaching music, equipping pupils with the tools to progress and teach themselves. Getting onto playing the music you enjoy most as quickly as possible, while setting and realising long and short-term goals within a positive, relaxed environment.
