Personal Description:
I am an International Senior London College of Music Examiner and write articles for the Banjo, Mandolin and Guitar Society magazine. I have examined all over the UK plus Italy, Cyprus, Vietnam, India, New Zealand, Ireland and Greece, online in Nepal, Singapore and Malaysia, and have over 30 years of teaching experience. I teach both face to face and online.
Tutoring Experience:
I have over 40 years teaching experience and currently teach & provide support to pupils for G.C.S.E & ‘A’ level performance, composition, theory, Music ICT, plus write & deliver courses for Gifted & Talented pupils.
I have three books of Classical guitar compositions published by CORDA music, and am registered with the RGT, NME & Rockschool to prepare pupils if required for exams in Classical/Acoustic/Bass/Electric guitar, Banjo, Mandolin and Ukulele. I also enter pupils for the Associated Exam Board & Trinity College exams. I teach Associated Exam Board theory & R.G.T/London College Rock/Pop theory exams. My teaching has recently been Quality Assured through the Blackburn with Darwen Music Hub, and I hold the enhanced DBS clearance. In January 2015 I was awarded ‘Experienced Exam Tutor’ status by the RGT, for continued success with pupils in the exams.

My approach is to provide structured learning tailored to the needs of the pupil, in a friendly, supportive and encouraging way.
