Personal Description:
I am a teacher of music theory and French horn as well as a performer and examiner. I teach music theory up to Grade 5 and the horn from beginner to conservatoire standard.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching for 15 years. My pupils have won music scholarships, performed with the National Children’s Orchestra and gone on to study at music conservatories. Currently I teach in two independent girls schools in London and have a number of private pupils. I am an examiner for ABRSM so have a full understanding of the necessary standards for success in Grade exams.
Tutoring Approach:
I am passionate about music making and enjoy helping students foster their own love of music. An understanding of music theory is crucial to making good progress on any instrument and I teach with a focus to its practical application, making lessons fun and engaging.
