Personal Description:

I am an enthusiastic and ambitious student, with a passion for music and a love of learning. I have played the clarinet since I was 9 years old, and I achieved my Grade 8 at age 15. I have also played in orchestras, and I enjoy playing the piano in my spare time. Having grown up in a musical household, I have gained a broad and confident musical knowledge, and I am determined to help you to improve your clarinet playing, whether it be through working towards exams or learning more casually.
I am also a passionate academic, having achieved nine A* grades and one A at GCSE, and predicted to achieve straight A*s at A level. I am now studying Natural Sciences at Durham University.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught both the clarinet and piano to younger students, including via online lessons, and have enjoyed aiding their progression.

Tutoring Approach:

I will tailor all lessons to suit the students' requirements. I teach all lessons online.
If a student would like to take exams, I completely understand the importance of sticking to the syllabus and ensuring that each element of the exam can be undertaken with confidence. Being an academic and musical student myself, I can relate to students who may feel nervous about exams, and will work to build their confidence in their own playing and musical ability.
For students who wish to learn in a more casual setting, my teaching style is informal, and I am always up for a laugh!
I will always try to make my lessons fun and exciting - music should be enjoyed!
