Personal Description:
Hello! My name is Naho and I am an experienced music teacher who has a postgraduate degree from RCS. I have been teaching for last 10 years in Dublin and Glasgow. I started as a pianist at the age of 4 and progressed to singing. Since then I have always been plying piano and singing. As I am interested in developing students musical skill I have attended a summer course for teaching classical voice in Guildhall and also participated in a seminar for piano teaching in DIT. My goal for teaching is for you to enjoy playing music rather than ticking off the tasks in order to be able to play/sing well :)
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught piano, singing and music theory to a wide range of ages. Many of my students have sat exams (Grade 1- Grade 8) and they have always received either Distinction or Merit. I also loved teaching the ones who wanted to play piano for their passion. I had a lot of mature students who came in after work or after their game of croquet. I was involved in making syllabus for the school I worked in as well. I have worked with many students who has learning difficulties and I always liked to find the way that works for the individuals to enjoy the music. So please do not hesitate to contact me if you or your kids is facing any difficulties!
Tutoring Approach:
Online lesson and combined lesson is still available. There is a family discount when siblings or even parents take lessons! In my lessons, my focus is on expanding pupils' love towards music through improving their ability as a musician. I always create my own curriculum for each individual student to ensure it will suit their pace and needs. I will always make sure that there is right atmosphere for learning with some fun. Especially for young beginners, we would be starting with some entertaining exercises to keep the enthusiasm going. My goal is that each student is making some development, including their interest towards music, in each classes.
