Personal Description:

I am also an Associate of Trinity College, London (ATCL) - with a diploma in singing and music performance. I have also taken the LTCL diploma from Trinity College London, with a distinction in Performance. Previously I have graduated in 2002 as a singer of Tonalis' Singing Training. Since then I have continued to have singing lessons by the master singing teacher and trainer Michael Deason-Barrow. I have specialized in early music, folk, classical, 20thC and contemporary singing.I have also had singing lessons with the composer, singer and Trinity examiner Gary Higginson and with the tenor Ian Partridge.
I also work as a professional singer, singing for funerals and weddings.

Tutoring Experience:

I have had my own singing teaching practise since 2002 and has had pupils of all abilities and levels. I am also one of the Tonalis teachers, teaching on Tonalis' singing courses and trainings. For many years I was also a teacher of singing for early years teacher trainees.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching is very student centred, focussing on how to help a student with their next step in singing. Because of my additional qualification in music education, I have learnt how to teach children singing, in accordance with their age. I have also learnt many creative ways of tackling various unwanted vocal habits.
I have a lot of success with helping students lacking in confidence in their singing and with performing.
I do enjoy teaching all students of different abilities and finding it very enriching helping people/children to discover how much more there is to their voices.
