Personal Description:

After graduating in both Music and Theatre, I was trained and certified as a Music Teacher. I have more than ten years’ experience in teaching music, including teaching large groups and one-to-one lessons. I was awarded a Masters in Composition and Theory at the University of the Arts in Bern (Switzerland). My composition works include music theatre, instrumental scores and interdisciplinary performances. I am now undertaking a PhD research in Music Composition at the School of Creative Technologies, University of Portsmouth. As an instrumentalist, I have performed concerts as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles, participating in music festivals internationally.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been delivering Music Tutoring on a one-to-one basis for ten years. I have instructed students in Flute, Saxophone, Composition, Music production/technology and Music Theory. Since lockdown, I also teach online. I have experience teaching music for large groups including formal education, music programmes, and Higher Education.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to Music Tuition is flexible to students' needs, capabilities and interests. I provide students with assistance for developing their own learning techniques. This means preparing accurate content for each student's lesson and providing/creating exercises based on current technical instrumental goals needed for playing desirable repertoire. The final aim of the lessons is to help students developing technical and expressive skills for playing/producing the music they love.
I am also committed to design and provide accurate digital material to accompany each student’s learning and self-practice (Videos, recordings, backing-tracks, pdf scores).
I truly enjoy making music and can share and encourage this passion in my students. Whether music is for them a professional pathway or a leisure activity, I want to make sure students make the most of the lessons and of their own practice and experience the joy of music making.
