Tutoring Experience:

I worked with a community based urban music project and also in community hubs teaching singing and music production. I have a particular aptitude for working with young people who are hard to engage, those on the spectrum and with SEN. I am a registered Bronze Level Arts Award Centre. I trained with Bigfoot Arts. some of the capacities I have worked within include:

- Youth urban project - singing
- Private singing tutor and Vocalize associate
- Community music project
- School music facilitator for 3 terms
- SEN music volunteer
- School workshop coordinator since 2013

Tutoring Approach:

I encorporate Gestalt and Montessorian theory in my approach to students. Alongside teaching you an instrument or technological skill I will help you discover your own musicality, recover and enjoy your current understanding of music theory, work alongside you to develop your technical ability and improvisational skills.

If you want to learn music but formal education does not work for you then I can work through a tool box of different approaches. If you are a performer trying to overcome stress related blocks or physical difficulties maintaining contact with your instrument please contact me for a consultation.

Violin: due to a complex injury I play folk style violin but can still work up to grade 3.

Discounts for block bookings, groups, schools & community settings. SEN training & groups catered for.
