Personal Description:
I am a 67 year old lady, a widow with 3 grown up daughters. I have lived in Malvern all my life. I trained & qualified at Birmingham Conservatoire after attending Grammar School.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching for 48 years, privately and in both state & public schools. Pupils have ranged from 4 years old to over 80 & include those with dyslexia. I now teach individuals at my house, adults only, daytime in the week only.
Tutoring Approach:
I use an individual approach to teaching. I no longer teach for exams, but any type of music - classical, pop, folk, jazz … My main aim is for each pupil to enjoy music making in whatever way is appropriate for them. I use CD backings or live piano accompaniment if this is something the pupil enjoys. I do not teach online.
