Personal Description:
Lily is a professional flautist and flute teacher based in the Glasgow area. She has been teaching children and adults since 2020, as well as undertaking professional flute playing work. Lily studied her undergraduate degree as well as her postgraduate diploma at the University of York, and her Masters degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Lily was privileged to win the Governor's Recital Prize for Woodwind in her final year of study. Lily was the woodwind tutor for the North Yorkshire County Youth Orchestra in 2022.
Tutoring Experience:
Lily is able to teach flute, piccolo, recorder and music theory.
Lily has experience teaching flute players of all abilities, from beginner to diploma level. she has had flute students who have gone far with their playing, including some who have gone on to play in their county youth orchestra.
Tutoring Approach:
Lily has a student-centred approach to teaching, and is happy to tailor lessons towards each student's needs and abilities. She is happy to help students through exam preparation, but is also very happy to teach those who are simply interested in pursuing music as a hobby. Lily is happy to give individual or small group lessons.
