Personal Description:
I studied violin with Catherine Frith and piano with Timothy Barret at the London College of Music graduating with ALCM, LLCM(TD), GLCM. Training as a Colourstrings teacher.
Tutoring Experience:
I've been teaching violin, piano, recorder and theory in the Cowbridge area since 2004. I also ran a preschool programme for 0-7yr olds in music called Kindermusik with leonie from 2005-2016.
Tutoring Approach:
I use the Kodaly and Delcroze method of teaching to my young students with a large emphasis on using vocal and movement to enhance their learning. With children aged 5-7 I use the Colourstrings method of teaching with additional tuition given in general musicianship focusing on singing, aural, rhythm and solfege.
