Personal Description:

Friendly, approachable, experienced and patient tutors who will structure lessons to suit the students wishes, whether this be for fun or for more serious study, such as practical exams with ABRSM or Trinity. We have both been musicians for over 20 years and have been tutoring for over 13 years.

Tutoring Experience:

We have been teaching since 2008 and have an excellent record of exam success. We keep records of pupils exam results so you can see what we have achieved. Alongside this we have signed testimonials from former and current customers for you to view. We are a well-established tutoring team who offer patient, friendly and relaxed lessons to beginners or more experienced musicians, both children or adults. A qualified secondary school teacher is on hand for lessons or advice on GCSE Music

Tutoring Approach:

We structure lessons to your needs, attitude to practice and musical ability. In general, we like lessons to be a fun and creative environment. However, if studying for exams, we will expect additional commitment to practice to allow steady and productive progress. This does not mean that they cannot still be fun!
Different students achieve at different rates and we always take this into consideration when teaching. Progress is always monitored and set at a pace that we feel is suitable. Students will be set targets for achievement and pushed ahead to achieve when necessary. The development of technique, strength and dexterity of the hands is important and will be incorporated into the lesson. Lessons are available in both 30 minute (£12.50 each) and one hour sessions at £22.50. (Subject to change - please check when enquiring)
