Information About Lauren - Woodford Green teacher

Personal Description:

Hi! I am a fingerstyle acoustic guitarist with nearly 10 years of playing experience. I studied both GCSE and A-level music, I specialise in solo performance, achieving an A star in my A-level final performance and completing the acoustic guitar grade system, achieving a distinction in my grade 8 final exam. I love all things music and I want to spread the love and passion for music through teaching.
I have experience in other instruments such as electric guitar (featured in the school rock band), the marching band snare drum and drum kit but my sole focus and my strongest area is the acoustic guitar.
Aside from the music qualifications, I am in my second year of university studying law. I like to describe myself as someone who is hard working and also patient.

Tutoring Experience:

I have a few months of teaching experience, I usually teach with kids but I am open to teaching any age groups. I've taught within my school and to family and friends.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching style is relaxed and informal, I don't want learning an instrument to feel intimidating, as it is a big thing to take on! I want my students to feel comfortable to make mistakes as its all part of the process. I don't look for perfection, rather I look for effort and a want to learn. I am more than happy to teach grades or simply if you wish to learn for fun.
I want my lessons to be fun and memorable as well as educational.
