Personal Description:

Hi I'm Josef! I have over 15 years experience performing in bands of diverse genres including Celtic & European Traditional Folk, Balkan-Klezmer-Oriental, Tango, Latin-American, Cumbia, Brazilian Fórro, French Musette, Nordic Folk, Blues and Swing.

As a musician I've lived, toured and studied in countries including Colombia, Chile, Bulgaria, and Greece, which has given me a wide musical repertoire, collection and musical perspective that I'm keen to share!

I've worked with children and also seniors who have begun their music education later in life from little to no experience. Having played in diverse bands I can put the accordion in context and build confidence playing with other musicians, teaching techniques and music theory that can be transferred to other instruments.

I've taught students from advanced levels to zero musical experience, enabling people to gain confidence and play diverse Global styles. All of my classes are personalised to my students. I prepare pieces that fit your level but align with your musical loves, to teach and push your technique while learning fun tunes, rather than only a fixed repertoire included in the most common teaching books.
