Personal Description:
I have been a Teacher for many years, and have also played with various Bands. Although I became a fulltime teacher in 1999, you can still see me playing in various Bands locally.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching for 30+ years, and have taught hundreds of pupils over the years. I will prepare you for Exams, or just playing for a hobby. I run a Jazz Workshop, so can help with improvisation also. I know the Associated Board and the Trinity Exam Syllabus well. I can also teach online, which in the current situation is a good idea.
Tutoring Approach:
I try to make it as easy and enjoyable as possible, using Mp3 Backing Tracks, for practice at home.

JonathanFrom Sami (5/5): Jon is a great teacher with a lot of knowledge. As an older student, he shows great patience and explains everything very well. I would recommend him 100% to anyone who wants a skilled tutor with a good sense of humour. I enjoy our our lessons and always leave feeling like I’ve learnt a lot. I also know I will be learning from Jon as long as he is doing lessons!
