Personal Description:

I’m 19 years old and have been playing music for around 12 years and composing music for 5 years. I’m interested in all genres of music and like to immerse myself in the cultures that surround them. I also play and compose everything from Pop and Jazz to Musical theatre. I’ve written music for other people aside from myself; both music, orchestrations and lyrics. I have also written a musical including mixed genres of music, which is currently in the further development process and so I hope to inspire people to aim high when composing. I enjoy all kinds of other performing, acting especially. I’m looking to help create and inspire anyone and everyone to get into composition, whether that be a beginner or someone with experience.

Tutoring Experience:

For a short time I worked at the havering music school, working with them by travelling to schools in the havering area to teach children the basics of music, as well as giving priva**Contact Detail Removed**ssons in instrumentation. In my spare time, I have been a freelance performing arts teacher for ‘Wham theatre schools’, meaning I have an advanced DBS check. These teaching experiences have brought me to a position where I would like to privately tutor, to use my knowledge to help kickstart an interest in composition for other people.

Tutoring Approach:

From experience, I know cooperation is key when it comes to writing music or lyrics. As a teacher, I like to find the interest of the individual and expand on it, in order for them to both get the best possible learning experience, as well as enjoying it. Everybody has their favourite type of music, and so the approach I take is to learn more about you, your musical interest and how you would like the session to benefit you. From this, I draft a plan for each session in order to ensure that I cover all bases, whilst getting you to wherever it is that you want to be in composition. The first session will be at a discounted price of £10, to allow you to get to know me and ensure that you are happy with me as your tutor. It’s also for me to understand your level of composition and what you want to achieve. As a younger tutor, I’m always looking for new and exciting ways to inspire and teach, as I know some learning approaches can be quite boring and hard to stay engaged.
