Personal Description:
I am a Chinese graduate with a Master’s degree in Music at the RNCM, and I moved to the UK two years ago. My interest in becoming a teaching assistant base from my passion for helping young, creative minds flourish. I firmly believe that every child possesses creativity, just as I did when I was young, and I hope to use this role to nurture their confidence and encourage them to pursue their individual talents.
I have six years of experience as an instrumental tutor and music teacher, along with two summers as a team leader in the UK. These roles allowed me to engage with children and teenagers from diverse backgrounds, which I found deeply rewarding. The students were always enthusiastic about the activities I organized, and working with them was both enjoyable and fulfilling. However, I also understand the responsibilities that come with being an adult in these settings, especially in terms of safeguarding and maintaining discipline. Ensuring the safety and well-being of the students was always my top priority, and I remain vigilant to potential risks or dangers during activities.
Through my teaching experience, I have learned the importance of being sensitive to each child’s unique background. Every student comes from different circumstances, and their behavior can sometimes reflect deeper issues. Whether it’s noticing signs of shyness or potential problems such as violence, I always take note and report these concerns to the appropriate teachers to ensure the necessary support is provided.
I believe that being observant, creative, and attentive are essential qualities of a teaching assistant, and I am willing to contribute these strengths to help students thrive.

Teaching music allows me to share the joy and power of music with others, while also continuing to grow as a musician myself. Whether through private lessons or group coaching, I strive to instill a deep sense of musicality and a passion for learning in all my students.
