Personal Description:
Hello, I am a qualified music teacher living in Somerset. I graduated from Trinity College of Music London in 1980 having studied voice and piano. After many years performing on stage I moved to Cheddar, Somerset where I have focused on solo concert work and private voice, piano and theory tuition.
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught singing and piano but I have also taught music theory to grade 5 (ABRSM) for many years. Since the lockdown I have started teaching music theory on zoom and I have become confident using zoom to teach pupils. ABRSM have produced 'Discovering Music Theory' books Grade 1 - 5 and I have found them excellent resources to teach from.
Tutoring Approach:
I am approachable, friendly and flexible; I am available at various times throughout the day and also after school/work. I support pupils to achieve their goals at any age.
