Personal Description:
My name is Jennifer , and I have been passionate about music for as long as I can remember. I began playing the violin and saxophone over 30 years ago and was classically trained, completing my exams up to Grade 8. I went on to earn a degree in music and education, which deepened my love for both performing and teaching.
Teaching music has been one of the most rewarding parts of my life, allowing me to share the joy and discipline of music with others. I took a break from teaching to raise my son and work on a personal project, and I now return to this role with fresh perspectives and enthusiasm. Outside of music, I enjoy spending time with my family and exploring new creative projects.
I’m excited to connect with students, whether they are just starting their musical journey or looking to refine their skills. I offer both in-person lessons from my home and online sessions to provide flexibility and convenience for every learner.
Tutoring Experience:
I have over 10 years of experience teaching violin, saxophone, viola, and piano to students of various ages and skill levels. My teaching journey began in 2007, and I have since worked with students ranging from beginners to advanced musicians. I was classically trained and hold a degree in music and education, which has provided me with a strong foundation in both technical expertise and music theory. After taking a few years off to raise my son and work on a personal project, I am now returning to teaching with renewed enthusiasm
Tutoring Approach:
My teaching philosophy is centered around creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students can explore their musical potential. I focus on personalised instruction, tailoring my lessons to each student’s unique needs, goals, and learning style. Whether students are preparing for exams, performances, or simply playing for enjoyment, my approach fosters confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love for music. I offer both in-person and online lessons, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for every student.
