Personal Description:

I am an experienced violin tutor and am passionate about providing young people with the opportunity to learn a musical instrument. As a recent music graduate, I have just relocated to London to study for a Masters (MMus) degree at Trinity Laban conservatoire, and am looking to take on some private violin students.

Tutoring Experience:

I started off working with a local charity providing music lessons for free to primary school children, and I realised I loved it. Now I mostly focus on one-to-one lessons, because of the bond you build with a student, and the opportunity to curate a highly personalised learning experience. I have taught violin privately for the last five years and work as a freelance violinist across the UK. Prior to moving to London I had numerous pupils ranging from ages 5 to adults, and whom I have successfully entered for ABRSM and Trinity exams, and coached for youth orchestra auditions. I am a strong communicator and am patient and kind, which combined with my highly flexible, individualised approach to teaching violin has allowed me to build the confidence of children who struggle with neurodivergence and other challenges.

Tutoring Approach:

In general, I am energetic, proactive and willing to go the extra mile for my pupils. Each lesson is tailored to the student and I have a flexible approach to learning style.

The only philosophy I have is that technique should be built into the lessons from the beginning; establishing a solid foundation of violin technique is essential to allow the student to enjoy violin playing and progress steadily.
