Tutoring Experience:
I'm currently a visiting piano teacher (classical) at Westminster Cathedral Choir School and Bradfield College (classical/jazz/pop), and freelance tutor for the National Youth Jazz Collective. Alongside this, I run The Jazz Pursuit, an online jazz education resource.
Tutoring Approach:
I'm passionate about my students developing a life-long relationship with music. This means I put great emphasis on building foundation skills - technique, note reading, rhythm recognition and theoretical knowledge. I find the grade system, whilst not perfect, gives students a target to work towards and barometer of progression. Working as a musician, I appreciate a wide range of music, and encourage students to learn a broad variety of repertoire.
