Personal Description:

I’m a jazz pianist, composer and educator based in Chiswick. Currently, I hold visiting piano teacher positions at Westminster Cathedral Choir School and the National Youth Jazz Collective. Alongside this, I enjoying performing in a variety of contexts through the UK and Europe. Recent highlights include: Cabaret (west end), The Savoy, Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, Montreux Jazz Festival and London Jazz Festival. I'm a graduate from the Royal Academy of Music with an MA (Jazz Piano) and LRAM (teaching qualification).

Tutoring Experience:

I'm currently a visiting piano teacher at Westminster Cathedral Choir School and Bradfield College, and freelance tutor for the National Youth Jazz Collective. Alongside this, I run The Jazz Pursuit, an online jazz education resource.

Tutoring Approach:

I'm passionate about my students developing a life-long relationship with music. This means I put great emphasis on building foundation skills - technique, note reading, rhythm recognition and theoretical knowledge. I find the grade system, whilst not perfect, gives students a target to work towards and barometer of progression. Working as a musician, I appreciate a wide range of music, and enjoy seeing students progress and become more comfortable and natural with their instrument.
