Personal Description:

My name is Issy and I am a fully qualified secondary Music teacher and semi-professional musician with around 14 years teaching experience. I am also fully DBS checked.

Tutoring Experience:

I am qualified to teach up to Grade 8 Piano and Cello, and Grade 5 Bass Guitar. I have experience teaching GCSE, A Level and BTEC Music, so I am also able to support you with these studies.

Tutoring Approach:

Lessons are based around your personal goals and what you would like to achieve, whether that is developing your confidence and playing for your own enjoyment, or passing specific grade exams on your instrument. I cover a range of skills and aim to develop your understanding of music theory and reading music, as well as developing scales and arpeggios, and performance pieces.

I welcome all ages and abilities, it’s never too late to start learning! I also have experience of working with students with special educational needs, visually impaired and deaf students, and I am more than happy to adapt lessons to suit individual students.

From Christine (1/5): Although the original request for online lessons was made on the 20/10, the tutor didn’t check her internet connection and whether it was suitable for online lessons (which were offered) until 30/10, days before the first lesson.
Assuming the issue isn’t simply a random hitch the lesson could have been postponed, or may have resolved itself by the lesson, but no cancelled outright.
Why offer online lessons if your internet isn’t up to scratch?
