Huw is a professional operatic tenor working for Welsh National Opera and has 25 years' experience as a performer in the industry, and 15 years as a teacher.
His interest in singing began when he was 17. Being the shy and quiet type, the prospect of singing in front of an audience was a terrifying one, but as his skills as a singer developed, so did his confidence. Huw enjoys a rich and varied career as a singer, performing in exciting productions and venues in the UK and abroad!

Tutoring Experience:

15 years' teaching experience working with all ages and abilities including children, individuals with additional learning needs and professional singers.
ABRSM grade 1-8 preparation ( including theory).

Tutoring Approach:

Huw teaches all ages and abilities, and is committed to giving his students the best training to develop a healthy and robust singing technique, musicianship skills and confidence in their abilities. His teaching style is based on his wealth of personal experience and the latest research in the world of vocal pedagogy. Although highly analytical and technical in his approach, Huw's manner is always good humoured, empathetic and relaxed.
He specialises in classical training, including voice type transition and is equally proficient in teaching Music Theatre, Rock and Pop, with a firm technical understanding and experience in teaching belting and screaming etc
