Personal Description:
I am a Piano and Woodwind teacher and player based in Pontypridd. I play Flute/Piccolo, Clarinet, Alto/Tenor/Soprano Saxophone and Piano. I am a professional performing musician and my portfolio includes music for weddings, special occasions, band gigs, big band, recording work, working alongside DJs and solo performances. I perform with a number of bands and regularly play at Cardiff city center venues. I have recently completed a masters in Music Performance at Cardiff University.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching privately for several years and have had many sucessful students passing ABRSM graded exams. I have previously worked as an instrumental teacher at a secondary school and currently teach pupils of various ages, instruments and abilities. Lessons can be in person, via Zoom or skype or a combination.
Tutoring Approach:
I teach all ages and abilities and cater for those wanting to progress with examinations or anyone wanting to play purely for pleasure or to learn a new skill. I teach mainly from home but I can arrange to visit a pupils home if required, and also using online platforms such as zoom. Woodwind pupils are required to have their own instruments.
