Information About Gavin - Edinburgh teacher

Personal Description:

I'm an experienced musician who has played in many bands since the age of 14 and I also write for production music libraries. I have been teaching guitar and bass guitar for over 20 years.
I teach acoustic and electric guitar to all ages and hold a basic disclosure and PVG License. I can teach many styles including Blues, Rock, Metal, Folk, Country, Jazz, and Pop.
I usually teach following the Rockschool. London College Music and Trinity Rock and Pop syllabus's, developing playing skills while learning real songs, as well as preparing you for and teaching you any songs that you like.
Apart from my teaching experience, I have been in the music industry for more than 20 years. I also have lots of experience composing songs and improvising as well as having acquired a great deal of knowledge on how the industry works and how to maximise your income from music. Therefore I can also provide some guidance on a career plan for the musicians hoping to make this their job. I can also offer advice on recording and setting up a home studio so that you can record your own music.

Tutoring Experience:

I've been teaching guitar and bass for over 20 years and have helped students get into college and pass exams. I also teach people who are not interested in doing any exams.

I tailor the lessons to the individual students needs depending on what they would like to achieve. All lessons are in a relaxed, fun and safe environment.
