He is a graduate of the University of York and Leeds Conservatoire (MA and BA respectively, both with a 1st and Distinction).

Frank has always had a great interest in Blues&Jazz, Rock, Pop and other genres, and has been involved in many project in different styles and setups.
He has been mentored in improvisation and composition by Grammy Award winner Milcho Leviev, and has worked closely with Andrew Snedden and still does so with Matthew Bourne. He has collaborated with internationally well known composers such as Julian Cochran, Alexander Rosenblatt and Nikos Stavropoulos and has enjoyed promoting their music in his recitals.
Frank has been the winner and awarded in international piano competitions and has participated in masterclasses by the likes of Paul Badura-Skoda, Bernard Ringeissen, Peter Hill, Craig Bailey, George Kontrafouris and others.
Frank is currently working on releasing his own original instrumental music and keeps a busy schedule between performances and teaching, composing and making arrangements for solo piano.
Tutoring Experience:
As a teacher, Frank has taught many students over the years, of all ages, levels and backgrounds. Some students are producers who want to develop more skills, others want to prepare for ABRSM or Trinity grades and Diplomas and others want to learn just for the sheer joy of music making.
Frank has been the principal piano teacher at the Yorkshire Music School Saltaire in the last 7 years. His broad range has enabled him to help students achieving their goals in music, expand their knowledge and explore the full potential of their abilities.
Tutoring Approach:
Frank’s ability to communicate directly, in detail and in practical terms, has made him successful in maintaining a busy private practice full of students who enjoy their lessons (and the concerts he occasionally arranges for them) and who gradually feel more liberated at the piano and gain more control of the instrument over time. He also encourages many of them to explore their own creativity through improvisation and creating their own music.
