Personal Description:

I am a professional musician with broad experience in teaching, educational coaching and training within the music industry, planning, developing and administration. Implementing strategies and knowledge in the areas of teaching whilst seeking to continue improvement in methods and practices. Compassionate and inspiring, maintaining a motivated and well-disciplined classroom environment where each student feels valued, cared for and can succeed in their chosen field. I hold a Ba (Hons) Degree in Professional Musicianship from the University of Sussex and a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education from University of Middlesex and have a fully certified enhanced DBS check.

Tutoring Experience:

I have lived and taught in different countries in a range of different ages from 6 - 60 years old and different class types from one to one, groups, lecture halls and even headed my own department with 3 teachers. I teach a range of styles and am always open to flexibility to ensure my students both enjoy themselves and also take what they have learned and apply it in a usable setting wether its their own bands, at school or just for a fun hobby. I have been doing this privately and publicly for the last 10 years.

During my time as Head of the Guitar Department in Mumbai, India, I was instrumental in the creation and development of a 3-year structured guitar curriculum across 12 levels of study. Responsible for the organisation, planning and preparation of class content. Implementation and delivery of tailored teaching methods to a variety of students from different ages and background. Overall accountability for the extra curriculum activities and educational workshop. Overseeing the daily operations of the department ensuring compliance with the policies and regulations whilst providing leadership to the teaching and administrative staff.

Tutoring Approach:

Students can expect a fun and engaging lesson that helps them meet their goals wether its strumming a few tracks to sing along to, learning some music theory to help with composition or even to shredding as fast as humanly possible. I do my best to create and deliver tailor made classes to budding musicians and instrumentalists at the highest level and sett achievable goals that ensure student success while also making sure the learning environment is safe, fun and inspiring.

I am willing to travel to students' and only request that students have their own instruments to ensure they are able to practice whenever possible. I will keep students updated on their progress and have many materials and tools available to help students in any way I can.
