Personal Description:
I am a bassoonist and pianist. I studied at the London College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music in the 1970's. I am a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player. I have extensive experience as an accompanist on the piano.I have 40 years experience as a musician which I call on in my teaching. I am an examiner for the London College of Music, travelling all over the country and examining all musical instruments.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching for 30 years for a music service. I can take group lessons and individual lessons. I teach a wide age range, small children to retired adults, and any ability, beginners to post grade 8. Many of my pupils take exams with great sucess.
Tutoring Approach:
I try to make lessons enjoyable for us all. Music can be in a variety of styles but should always be played to a high standard, at a level that is within the students grasp. Making music should be a pleasure not a daunting task.
